Synopsis

The rising demand for foreign language learning has increased the need for qualified educators. To address this, education faculties in Türkiye offer double major programs aimed at enhancing teacher employability and promoting multilingual education. This study was conducted with eight pre-service teachers enrolled in a French language teaching program who are simultaneously pursuing a double major in English language teaching. The study investigates their perspectives on teaching the “superlative” structure. Participants analyzed authentic texts prepared by the researcher and subsequently participated in semi-structured interviews consisting of eleven questions. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that prospective teachers prioritize the application of language teaching methods, the integration of language skills, and the use of authentic texts when teaching superlatives in both French and English.
