DIGITAL SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING
Synopsis
This book covers the ins and outs of digital signal and image processing (DSIP), a field that underpins advancements in information and communications technologies (ICT), Internet-of-Things (IoT), Industrial Revolution 4.0, as well as artificial intelligence. The introductory chapter gives an overview and history of DSIP, how this field impacts our lives and what it will bring in the future. The remaining nine chapters are divided into three parts. The first part contains chapters on signal processing techniques in the areas of transportation and wellness. The second part involves chapters on applications of classical and deep learning image processing in transportation, document processing, and sign language recognition. The last part documents hardware implementations for complex signal processing computations.
