ENERGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN MALAYSIA

Sustainable energy supply is essential for realising Malaysia׳s vision to become a high-income country. This edited book comprises of ten chapters which cover topics on conventional and renewable energy research and applications available in Malaysia. The topics cover in this book include renewable energy generation using biomass and its potential, technology adopted in producing cleaner energy involving innovative process design and fuel cell system, carbon removal and energy carrier for solar cell and natural gas, and assessment of the energy applications from safety point of view. This book provides different insights to multidisciplinary researchers, scientists and professionals in exploring new developments in renewable energy, green technology and energy conservation for the future. We hope to highlight the benefits and challenges of Malaysia׳s energy supply with the aim of stimulating further discussion and research on future energy sector, energy policy revolution and national energy mix expansion strategy towards securing sustainability.
